We offer two types of implant-supported dentures:

  • Implant-Retained Dentures - Your new teeth will be anchored to a set of dental implants using a system of snaps and balls. They'll stay in place until you pop them out for daily cleaning and care.
  • Implant-Secured Dentures - We'll secure your dentures to a sturdy metal bar that is attached to dental implants. You won't have to remove these teeth for cleaning each day. They are designed to be removed only by your dentist. Just brush and floss as usual.

When do dentures need to be relined?

When you lose teeth, you also lose their roots and the stimulation they provide to your jaw. Without this stimulation, your bone shrinks. You can lose up to 25 percent of your bone density in the first year alone. When bone shrinks, it affects how your dentures fit. That's why we recommend implant-supported dentures. Dental implants keep you from losing bone density, so they're worth considering if you're concerned about loose dentures.

Which is better: dentures or implants?

Conventional dentures cost less than dental implant dentures. However, the benefits of implants make it worth the added cost. For instance, dental implants will keep you from suffering the bone loss that causes your jaw to shrink, giving you an older appearance and making it more difficult to keep your dentures in place. They can also last a lifetime.

Can dentures fall out?

Traditional dentures that stay in place with dental adhesives will fit snugly and comfortably on top of your gums. Over time, however, they will need to be adjusted to maintain stability.
